Tria's mission is to bring salon-quality technology and self-care treatments into people's homes. The Smooth Beauty™ Laser is an innovative product that uses laser technology to help people rebuild the collagen in their skin, which increases natural luminosity and treats fine lines and wrinkles.
What we did
Matter supported Tria's team to develop the laser device's design language, an ergonomic form, and create an easy-to-use interface. Initial ergonomic testing with users in an at-home setting provided insights that informed the form factor's design. With that established, we worked closely with Tria's engineering team to take the design through to functional prototypes and appearance models. We continued to support the team through the manufacturing process to provide detailed specifications on product tooling, materials, texture, colors, and on-device interactions.
