Disney Magic Band
MyMagic+ is a planning and enhancement tool that integrates the My Disney Experience smartphone app, FastPass+, and the MagicBand bracelet. MyMagic+ brings together various aspects of their Walt Disney World experience into one system that simplifies dining and FastPass+ reservations via the My Disney Experience app, redeeming FastPass+, charging expenses, and hotel room access with MagicBands. Besides functional improvements, Guests received an "enhanced experience" such as personalized interactions with Disney characters. Guests tap their Magic Band to touchpoints to engage with the system. The mickey mouse symbol with a circle communicated the system and the method of interaction.
A magical experience in the digital age
MyMagic+ brings the park experience into the digital age and enables Disney to be more responsive to in-park traffic patterns as they shift, deploy additional entertainment, or increase artificially constrained capacity at certain attractions as demand fluctuates. Frog was the lead partner charged with designing MyMagic+, which included the MyMagic experience interface and the physical touchpoints, including the MagicBand, The Digital Access Portals, hotel room door locks, and payment devices.
